  Lars Kornetka is set to be Ralph Rangnick’s  assistant at Manchester United. Kortnetka has previously worked with Ragnicks  at Hoffenheim, Schalke and was his assistant  manager at RB Leipzig. He currently works  as a management advisor at Lokomotiv Moscow. Kornetka assisted Julien Nagelsmann and  was the video analyst during Pep Guardiola’s  tenure at Bayern Munich. As per Athletic’s earlier reports, United are set  to appoint Rangnick as an interim manager  until the end of the season and have offered  him a further two-year role as a consultant. A recent report from John Cross also states  that he could be the club’s first Sporting Director. Rangnick took over as head of Sporting  Development at Lokomotiv Moscow in July.   Despite the latest encouraging news on Ben  Chilwell, Chelsea fans still want to see a  replacement left-back recruited in January,  amid concerns that the Englishman's season  could be jeopardized by surgery.  Chilwell, 25, tore his partial ACL in a Champions  League triumph over Juventus 4-0 a month  ago, and the setback has undoubtedly  destroyed the Blues' season.  Marcos Alonso, Callum Hudson-Odoi,  and Saul Niguez have filled in for the ex- Leicester man since he was ruled out for an  extended period, but none of them have had  the same impact as Chilwell.  This is because Chelsea's form has been mixed  since the Juventus victory, with Thomas  Tuchel's team having a win percentage of  only 29% in all competitions.  Despite the manager's recent comments, this  low percentage has encouraged Blues fans  to urge action in this position in January.
