Thomas Tuchel insists Chelsea will do 

everything to help Mason Mount take his 

place in the England squad after he was 

hit with a tooth infection.

Midfielder Mount returned to training 

yesterday after missing Chelsea’s last two 

games due to an issue connected to a wisdom

 tooth.

He was included in Gareth Southgate’s 

latest England squad but Tuchel says Chelsea 

will wait to see how he reacts following his 

absence as the issue affected his ability 

to eat and caused him to lose weight.

Mount is set to be in Chelsea’s squad for

 Burnley’s visit to Stamford Bridge tomorrow

 and Tuchel said: ‘It’s a bit of a tricky one. 

He was ill but the reason is the wisdom tooth 

so this is the reason for the illness or feeling

 like an illness. There is a bit of an infection.

‘He was back in training yesterday and today,

 he lost a bit of weight, he cannot eat properly 

so he takes medication and let’s see.

‘He is in the squad for tomorrow, he can play

 some minutes but we will need to wait for

 the reaction because it seems like a 

proper treatment has to be done.
