Manchester United are said to be in advanced

 talks to sign Marseille midfielder 

 Kamara, who will be the Ralf Rangnick 

era's first signing. 


The 22-year-old, who has been in excellent

 form in Ligue 1 this season, has piqued the

 curiosity of a number of prominent European

 clubs, including Newcastle United. 


Kamara was rumored to be on the verge of 

joining St James' Park on deadline day before

 opting to stay at the Stade Velodrome. 


Marseille have given the midfielder new 

terms, with the option to leave on a free transfer

 at the end of the season, but Kamara looks

 to have made up his mind to depart. 


United 'were aware' of Kamara's plight,

 according to the Athletic, with Barcelona 

and Bayern Munich also interested in a summer

 transfer. 


However, the Express reports that United 

are in 'advanced talks' to sign the player, citing – 

somewhat suspiciously – 'the Catalan press.'

Breaking news: Lars Kornetka to be Ralph Rangnick’s assistant at Manchester United and reveals his key major players to face Chelsea on Sunday.

  Lars Kornetka is set to be Ralph Rangnick’s  assistant at Manchester United. Kortnetka has previously worked with Ragnicks  at Hoffenheim, Schalke and was his assistant  manager at RB Leipzig. He currently works  as a management advisor at Lokomotiv Moscow. Kornetka assisted Julien Nagelsmann and  was the video analyst during Pep Guardiola’s  tenure at Bayern Munich. As per Athletic’s earlier reports, United are set  to appoint Rangnick as an interim manager  until the end of the season and have offered  him a further two-year role as a consultant.
