 Steven Gerrard taking his in-form Aston

 Villa side to face Manchester United is 

the pick of the televised FA Cup third round

 games next month.




It has been revealed this afternoon 


which of the ties will be broadcast when 


the competition gets underway, with United's


 clash against Villa a standout.



That game, which is one of three all-Premier


 League showdowns, will be screened on 


January 10 at 7:55pm across the BBC.



Elsewhere, the action in the next stage of 


the cup will begin with Manchester City


 travelling to Swindon Town.



Supporters of both teams will be able to 


take in the drama from the County Ground


 on Friday, January 7. Kick-off is at 8pm, 


and coverage is provided by ITV.



Six of the ties will be shown live on TV 


between January 7 and January 10.



As well as City's clash with Swindon, ITV 


will also show Millwall v Crystal Palace, West


 Ham v Leeds and Nottingham Forest 


v Arsenal.



Each of the clubs chosen will receive 


a live broadcast fee of £85,000.

Breaking news: Lars Kornetka to be Ralph Rangnick’s assistant at Manchester United and reveals his key major players to face Chelsea on Sunday.

  Lars Kornetka is set to be Ralph Rangnick’s  assistant at Manchester United. Kortnetka has previously worked with Ragnicks  at Hoffenheim, Schalke and was his assistant  manager at RB Leipzig. He currently works  as a management advisor at Lokomotiv Moscow. Kornetka assisted Julien Nagelsmann and  was the video analyst during Pep Guardiola’s  tenure at Bayern Munich. As per Athletic’s earlier reports, United are set  to appoint Rangnick as an interim manager  until the end of the season and have offered  him a further two-year role as a consultant. A recent report from John Cross also states  that he could be the club’s first Sporting Director. Rangnick took over as head of Sporting  Development at Lokomotiv Moscow in July.
